57 views and only 2 ppl have voted im doing this survey so that i may pass the info onto other breeders so that they know the breed that they breed may be one of the most abandoned buns and possiably may lower thier breeding so its down to you.
please help with this survey.

I would say mostly lops (because there are a lot of people who think they look cute in pet shops), neathies, and crosses? You could check the rescues on RR and see what breeds are mostly in rescues. :)

A lot of rabbits in rescue are cross breeds or close approximation of breeds. Eg a lot of lops fall somewhere between the size of mini and dwarf.

If you want to know what breeds are most common there are just over 700 available rabbits listed on RR, most have photos, have a look for yourself :) http://www.rabbitrehome.org.uk/search.asp?RabAge=LIKE+%27%25%27&RabSex=%25&RabBond=%25&County=%25&Submit=++Search++

I didn't answer because I can't see how it can help. Do you really think anyone will listen, because to be frank, I do not.

Well I have not answered because I am not a rescue:lol::lol::lol: buuuuuttttt, from perusing the free ads, find its and alike I cannot help come to the conclusion that breeds of rabbits seem to go in fads by quite alot breeders so what maybe the latest breed to breed at the moment may not be next years best seller. I would imagine (although I dont know for sure) that rescues tend to get the end of season breeds once handed into the rescue. When I first joined RU and discovered these selling sites, there were very few frenchies and giants, quite alot of cashies and standard rexes amongst dwarf lops. Now there are plenty of frenchies up for sale, mini rexes seem to be in, not many cashies anymore:?:? Hardly see a nethie on them so it must depend on what the breeder decides to breed and what area the breeder is in which will dictate what breeds the rescues will get through their doors;)

It is going to be a hard survey to do really when their is probably about 15-20 rescues that are active users on here;)

Yes, I am curious too;):lol:especially to see what rescues have the most of:?

Amber and Amy the giant, does your rescue specialise in giants like Sue Dooleys?

We get lots of rexs and mini rexs, lots of lionheads, lots of mini lops, lots of dwarf lops and many crosses. and every other sort imaginable:?

Where they are a definite breed it tends to be rex - mostly mini, and lionheads that are most common. With Bunnyland in the vicinity it means we get lots of lops too, often very good looking but with many health problems:(

We could take in rabbits every day if we had the homes for the ones already here:? So very many rabbits out there are in desperate need:cry: How you breeders can send more out there to be abused baffles me. Don't you care what happens to them? It is only the luckiest ones who get a place here. For every one we take there are 20 we can't and that is only in this area.

We get mainly bunnies with fur(although there was one without!), moving legs (mainly 4 in number but again there have been 1 or 2 tri-pods, no bi-pods though), revolving eyes (mostly see through and mostly 2 per bun, although some have been pearl finished and one in number)and twitching noses(no can't think of one that did'nt twitch). This info is obviously only a generalisation as some have come in with their bits mostly intact but shredded ,with holes or swollen so I don't know wether or not to tick the box.

As for paint finish and body style can't say I've ever really looked.:lol::lol:

Can't tick a box in your poll as it varies..sometimes lots of lionheads..sometimes nethies..sometimes dwarf lops...

Because the question is aimed at rescuers, I didn't feel I should answer it. I think the answer would be mini lops followed by lionheads.
