Just before bunny breakfast I suddenly heard a kafuffle & ran through to see my two running in a circle, rabbling & biting at each other. There was fur every where, although I suspect as they're moulting it's mostly hair that was on it's way out anyway. I separated them & now they seem fine - eating together, calm, not trying to fight each other, but Missy is a bit sullen so I have a feeling Digby might have tried to hump her which she does not like at all.
Anyway, the thing I'm most worried about is that I found three drops of blood on the floorboards. I've checked them both over on a white towel & no other blood was on it afterwards. I can't find any bite marks/scratches, or missing claws to explain it. Should I be worried, or should I just keep an extra close eye on them? I'm with them all day, everyday.

Oh no :(

Keep a close eye on them, I had this prioblem before where Kovu humped Scooby's head and cut her ear, it was dune by accident, but it scared me at the time. How are they now?

Hiya Tree!

Thanks for your reply.

They're doing what they usually do in the morning - Digby is eating in his house, & Missy is alternating between napping under my work desk & the dining room table! They seem okay. She's just seems rather moody, a bit like how she was when he used to try & hump her all the time!

Spring is in the air, all the bunnies have gone nuts. Keep an eye on them but usually this 'time of the year' behaviour settles of its own accord, so dont split them unless things get nasty.

Donna and I were only talking last night about this, we always get lots of calls about bunnies fighting in the spring, the majority of these settle down and need to be kept an eye on. They usually settle. I often find bonding in the spring a little bit more tricky ... :?

My male pair started yesterday, I'm just greatful they waited until I was about to keep an eye on them. They have the biggest run so they can get away from each other if need be.
