My bun still hasnt come out of his cage. i have every reason to believe that he is comfortable with me. he greats me when i come home, he comes out of his little hut when i call his name, and he seems happy. but he hasnt come out of the cage yet, and when i try (albeit SLOWLY and gently so i dont scare him of course) he just hops out of my reach. his cage opens from the front so i cant lift him out the top. i put a folded up blanket in front of the cage so he has a little step in case hes unsure where to step. hes only 4 months old so i cant give him any treats to lure him out. what should i do? ive posted on this topic before but its been almost 3 weeks and he hasnt come out of his cage. I'm starting to get worried that he might never come out and he might think that he has to live in that cage forever!! please help!
forgot to add: I always leave the cage door open for my bun when im around. its open for probably 10 hours a day. still no luck

what about just leaving the door open when you are home - curiosity will soon get the better of him! x

Yeah just leave the door open and get on with other things - he'll come and see what you're up to, eventually.
(Of course I'm just mean, I'dve just taken him out by now!)

maybe take him from the cage and put him in a different room, maybe hes not sure whats out there.... my bun still hasnt discovered upstairs, she gets on the first step and then runs back to safety

take him with you, on the floor. lie down, and let him explore you and the room (under good surveillance of course) To make you him interested in you, you can make as you groom yourself (with your hand, rub your face and your hair slowly). Each time a do that, even the shiest bunny approches me!
good luck,

don't forget pellets can be treats too. why don't you try hand feeding him just by the cage door and gradually move your hand out day by day.
When I moved Tia into the kitchen she refused to leave her crate for 2 weeks  I put some mats down in the end and she came out - she hated the slippery tiled floor so could that be it? Other than that is the door quite high up? If he has to hop up and out he may feel nervous, the same as you would jumping over a fence if you didn't know what was on the other side. Try making a ramp for him up and down, with wood and he might come out.
