Another poem, inspired by Remember Me posted by another member and also the pet shop rabbit poem posted by Jane.
Remember that day when you threw out that trap;
I was confused, so I waited and sat.
You took me home so I expected shelter and care,
but what I recieved wasn't really fair.
I thought you would take care of me,
I thought you would be kind.
But the abuse, neglect that I have seen
was not what we should find.
I really miss the wilderness, I was only a small baby
But you didnt care at all that day
You just wanted me for your lady.
I watch you every day now,
I hear your every thought
But I'm confident that when you die
You'll hang your head in shame
And I'll be watching while you stand
Within the pouring rain.
