Tooth Problems?? Help!

Ab & Stu

Alpha Buck
Hi

As some of you may know I have a dwarf Lop. Recently I have noticed that he leaves his carrots and after eating his chin is wet. He seems perfectly happy to eat everything else and seems happy enough in himself hoppping and binkying around. It mainly his wet chin that worries me. Could he have a problem with his teeth?? Or do some of your buns have wet chins??

Any info would be great!

Many thanks

Abbie

Does he drink from a bowl or a bottle? Does he drop food from his mouth whilst eating?

I would certainly get him dental checked just incase, if these things are caught early they are easier to treat and may not develope into a huge problem.

He drinks from a bottle. I've watched him eat and he has no problem, he doesn't drop food.

I'll book him in just in case, better to be safe than sorry!

Thanks Sooz!

Abbie x

Agree with Sooz, if he is not normally wet under chin and drinks from a bottle you need his teeth checking out. Good luck.

I've booked Stu an appointment. When I go do I take Ebony with him as they have never been apart, or shall I just take him? it's not too far away so Ebony shouldn't be on her own long! :?

We always take ours everywhere together -Hoops and Ant have never been apart since they were introduced. We now have a bonded foursome and took all 4 to the vet for Trix's myxi vacc. last week! Big carrier needed - but good for their bond!

So I would recommend taking Ebony with you. Will help to keep Stu a little more relaxed too :D

Hope it goes well x
