ear mites?

the other day i posted about the strange red bold patches on Mistys ear, i put it down to possible dry skin as someone said on here but litrally 10 minutes ago i sat in the kitchen with Crystal and Misty and Misty seemed extremly distressed he started throwing his head all over the place stratching like mad shaking his head you name it this went on for about 5 minutes none stop, im going to make an appointment at the vets for him tomorrow but does this sound like ear mites? or could it be something else? if it is ear mites would it be worth while getting Crystal checked over as well?

I think it is ear mites but have no idea really. Hope it's nothing too serious.

My boyfriends Mom's rabbits have ear mites bad, or they did. I think it sounds like ear mites. Is the rabbits ear's kinda crusty?? And as for crystal, if the rabbits have had contact or have been close to each other you should definately check her as well. Ear mites can spread fast. We treat our rabbits with this ear mite solution we got at Buchheits, its a hardware and animal feed store. So any store like that should carry some form of stuff, just make sure it says for rabbits.

Id take both rabbits along to the vet if they live together they will both need treatment as it does spread eaisily.
