Knew something was wrong when I went to uncover the girls & Rhia wasnt waiting for me. Shes hunched up in the corner of her bed, not eating & grunting when I go near her. Had her out & shes quite lethargic, but I dont think her tummy feels too hard (Never had a bunny with a 'hard tum' but Im assuming I'd definately feel a big difference to a normal tum?) I feel sick with worry, Shes my big bolshy girl & I hate seeing her like this  As if Jen wasnt causing enough heartache. Will update when we're back from the vets, Vibes for my beautiful little girl would be much appreciated

Sending tons and tons of vibes. :( xxxxx
((((((( VIBES )))))))
awww hope she'll be better soon :( Zinniea was like this over Christmas period (coincidentally windy weather :?) - I syringed about 10ml water into her every half hour for a couple of hours and she perked up after that. I wonder if the windy weather spooks them.

do you think she could be pining for jen? cus she misses her when there not together cus they cnt stay together, and sumtimes bunnies get sick when they pine if there partner dies, so maybe thats it?? prob a silly idea but it could be that shes pining?

Hi Becki
Sorry Rhia is poorly. It sounds like her tum is uncomfortable as the constantly changing positions usually indicates that they have a painful tum. If she pressing her tum on the floor? Is she hunched or laid out?
Is there any chance you can give her some infacol before you get her to the vets just in case she has a gassy tum? Try wrapping her in a towel so only her head pops out and put the infacol in a 1ml syringe at the side of her mouth.
Hugs to you both.

Hope she feels better soon Becki x

Hi Becki
It does sound like tummy pain with the constantly changing of positions showing she can't get comfortable and closing her eyes.
What time is your appt?

Rhia has eaten & poo'ed :D Shes perked up a lot but still not her usual self. Our usual vet who is great has no appointments left tonight & I've taken her to the other man before when she was in stasis (had been for three days, but had seen other vets over those days) and he told me to 'give her another 48 hours' before bringing her back  So what do I do?? Hi Becki,
I don't normally post much but I had exactly the same with my original bun Cookie on Mon night. It was 7pm when I got in so I made her move around for a few mins and she just looked awful, it was horrible. Cookie is impossible to syringe feed too - it is really frustrating. At 8.30pm after numerous attempts I bought her and partner Jimmy indoors (I never bring them in my partner is allergic) Every hour from then on I made her get up (she was either flat out looking dead or hunched over) and made her hop round the kitchen. I mixed up some very diluted cc and put the teeny tiniest amount of banana in to sweeten it - prob not the best thing I know but the only way to get her to lick it off her lips! Each hour I covered her eyes and aimed for her little bunny lips, I figured even if it didn't go in she would then lick it off. I also tore up spring greens into tiny pieces and placed them round the kitchen.
I lay on the kitchen floor with them and repeated the above until 3.20am when Cookie took her first bite of greens.
I truly thought at some points I would lose her and felt awful making her move around - but it worked.
Fingers crossed for the lovely Rhia I hope she is ok.
