Companion for Chives

Hi

I am new here so hope this is the right place.

I have had rabbits on and off for most of my life and at the moment have a 1 year old drawf named Chives who sadly lost one of his eyes last year to an infection but have made a good recovery.

I have been thinking we really should get him a companion but am unsure wether he would take to a baby or a adult better...can you offer any advice?

Thank you

Sabrina

It would be easier and safer to pair him with a neutered adult female. Has Chives been neutered?

I also have a one eyed rabbit

No he hasent been done - is it nessecary for introductions?

Yes. An unneutered male will hump the life  out of a female rabbit and although she will tolerate it for a while it will most likely eventually cause a fight.

Many also find the unwanted attention very stressful.

Also, you dont want babies!

Definetly go with an adult spayed female - most rescues will even do the bonding for you :D

Have a look on Rabbit Rehome for bunnies in your area :D
