Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Found lump on Ellie

Bunty

New Kit
Hi

I have just discovered a funny shaped, very moveable, lump on my bunny's undercarriage.

It doesn't appear to be attached and is just under the skin on her lefthand side.

She is eating well and appears normal.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Bunty

Where abouts on her 'undercarriage' ? Do you mean her abdomen, her chest, her 'lady bits' ?

Please take her to your vets as soon as possible. It could be a number of things, some relatively harmless and others more serious.

It is better to get her checked over by someone who can actually see and feel the lump (and perform a biopsy if needed) than for us to sit here and speculate.

Good Luck.

Many thanks for all your replies - I had already booked her in to the vets for Monday morning, but as it was Friday I was anxious to know if anyone else had experienced a similar problem with their rabbits.

I will update you when I have taken her to the vets and hope it is just a cyst.

Thanks once again

Bunty
