hello i am new,i have a nine year old dutch bunny and yesterday i got two rescue bunnies called Norman and Beatrix,they are also dutch,but black and white,my 9 year old dutch is tan and white and called Rosie.The lady i got my buns from said that Norman was 13 months and neutered and Beatrix-lilly is 7 months but not neutered.They love each other and are a great pair but should i get Beatrix neutered also and at what age and how long will they have to be separated for after the op??Apparently Beatrix is a little naughty and digs holes and escapes a lot.I dont mind,i will keep a firm eye on her.

I would gt Beatrix neutered, Dutches can be neutered from 6 months. Neutering makes for a better pet and she will be free from hormonal behaviour such as phantom pregnancies, territorial aggression, dominance mounting of her partner which can cause fights and you may also find she is better behaved and easier to litter train.

Also 80% of does over 5 years go on to develop uterine cancer and speying eliminates this risk.

I adore dutch rabbits, do you have any pictures?

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to seeing pics of your bunnies - as you can see from my siggie we used to have a dutch bunny called Dizzy and he was a lovely bun :D
