Remembering All who`ve passed to The Bridge This Year

I hope people don`t mind me starting this, but i believe Jane started a similar thread this time last yr where we could ask for our furries that have sadly passed over this year to also be remembered in Decembers Candle Ceremony.

Heartbreakingly I`ve lost several beloved pets this yr, so i hope you don`t mind me starting this off.

Firstly there was our beloved Digby & Angel who were our 1st victims taken by the dreaded VHD:cry::cry:

Then 12 days later darling little Blue was also taken by this horrid disease:cry:

In April we had to make the heartbreaking decision to have my 1st ever cat Pollyanna pts after the dreaded C took hold:cry: I can honestly say it was one of the most painful decisions i`ve ever had to make:cry::cry:

Sadly in August we lost our 6 1/2 yr old guinea pig Tiny Tim to congestive heart failure:cry:

And soon after one of my gorgeous foster buns `Gandolf` was taken to the bridge after developing a blockage:cry:

Then on 12th October, Midnight, our beautiful & brave rex was suddenly called to the bridge & like all the others left a huge hole in our hearts:cry:

We lost both our beloved rabbits earlier this year - Molly and Dizzy (their pics are in my siggie).

This time last year we would never have believed that we would be without both of them :( It was however Molly's sad loss that led me to RU where I have met so many new friends. We now have a pair of house bunnies (and a third on the way!) and foster bunnies in the garden for Honeybunnies. Amazing how things happen ... although hopefully for a good reason.

In March we lost our two black moor's (fish) Blacky and Liquarice, they were sickly when we got them, but we nursed them through the worse of there illnesses. we will never no for sure why they finally gave up their fight:cry: Swim free my babys away from the pain:cry:

In July I lost my Bunnykins. After my dad died:cry: I paid little attention to her needs, and did not notice she was ill til it was too late. I will never forgive myself for not noticing soon:cry:

In august we lost Alan piggie, he was too young to die:( My vets didn't find out what was wrong with him, so I will never no for sure what happened.

I haven't lost any buns this year, but I have lost one special little man, Coco. He was my whole world, my special baby, and some days I don't even know how I can go on without him. He was only with me for one year but in that short time I grew to love him more than anything, when he was ill I looked after him and he was always around when I wasn't all right. I just wish he could be here with me now my heart's breaking :cry: He left for the bridge unexpectedly on the 17th November.

This year we have lost 2 fishes, and 3 Hamsters, Phoebe,Sparkle and Daisy; and on the 10th of December we lost our rabbit Lucy. In a few weeks time we are off to see Tracey @ the rabbit and guinea-pig welfare in Rugby to see if there's any girlie buns for Pumpkin to fall in love with!

I lost my dog Bouncer in september. he was 15. I had him since I was 4. I miss him so much. its so strange not to hear him tapping across the flooring or him running to the door to see me when i come in from work or shopping. Im sorry in your final months you had Phoebe and Piper harrasing you and finding it halarious to play tag over you. I dont think you minded tho :lol:There under the stairs where you used to sleep now, it was the only way we could kind of supress feeling the emptyness of you not being there. We hoped you'd come back and it would just be a ear infection that was making you poorly but we knew deep down in our hearts, you wouldnt be coming home with dad and graham, and we knew deep down in our hearts it was so much kinder for you to be helped to the bridge on that sunny friday afternoon. I dont think ill ever forget the look you give me when i sat nursing you when graham was on his way to collect you it was saying "let me go ive had enough now" and i hope we done what was right for you. I'm sorry i couldnt be with you when you went, i was so upset and angry you were being taken from us, so dad and graham took you because it would of been a more peaceful passing for you.

this year i lost jellys beautiful baby Peter. she was amazing, i was going to keep her, and bond her with domino, but they wud have had 2 wait a long time as single buns, so i gave her to a great home, and adopted domino a spayed girly. i got to see peter all the time, and she was happy with her sister.
sadly she died t just four months and yeh okay maybe she wasnt mine, but i loved her dearly. she was my bunnies baby :(:(:(

then, peanut dug out his run, and jelly gave birth on 10th august. He neutured straight away, but it was to late. five beautiful babies were born, and i think my heart nearly broke when one was identical to peter. but i grew to love her just as much, and then at four weeks she was taken away by myxi, and it just hurt so bad cus id lost them both.

Goodbye Peter and baby nutkin, i loved you both dearly, please play side by side at the bridge xxx

I too lost some friends this year :(

First Morris our rat aged 3 was helped to pass over after a battle with liver disease.
Then Miri our cat aged 9 was helped to pass away after years of battling with calicivirus' secondary infections.
Then Lovage our bun aged 4 suddenly died of a heart attack.
Then Vinnie had to be helped to pass over when his arthritis was finally too much for him.
Regatta and Yin our fish also passed away after battling with fin rot.
My nans cat Billy aged 18 was helped to pass away when his kidneys finally gave up.
Finally, Peanut our cat aged almost 22 was helped to pass away after a short battle with cancer.

I miss them all immensely. :(

On 17th May our family dog was helped to the bridge. He had many health problems which resulted in several vet trips a week-it just wasn't fair to put him through it anymore.
We remember the good times frequently and there is not a day goes by that i don't think about you.

I am so happy that you are not suffering now.

Oh gosh!, this is hard,

First was Gizmo, he had been homed but developed cancer soon after and died.

Then Bob, really special bunny, I tried so hard to make him better but it wasn't to be, but he got me through one of the worst rescues ever....'The Farm Bunnies'. when we got 19 out of a dreadful place and Jack's-Jane ended up with Bobby and the Boblets

Beautiful Poppy Pussy Cat left for the bridge this year, she defied the odds with her heart murmer and damaged eyes but lived to 20.5 years, we miss her terribly.

Lastly was handsome Elliot, we rescued him but his liver damage was beyond repair, we tried but there was nothing else we could do for him.

We miss them all xxxx

he was only 6 but amazed us all how long he had actually lived for once the PM results were back and we found out he only had 1/3 of a liver functioning from birth...

you are right :) from the loss of george i found Alvin and hopefully a wifebun if he accepts and my mom now has two gorgeous cats who have really helped to fill the hole....im really sure George would approve of our choices and will be happy to know we are happy again too :D
