Indoor cages

Does anyone have this cage?

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-3570.aspx

I have 6 rabbits indoors at the mo! 4 x 12 week olds are in my biggest cage which is 116 long 60 deep and 55 cm high, they get out to exercise several times throughout the day, I have 2 x 8 week old in a smaller cage though so need a bigger one for them as they grow. Any recommendations? It is so cold just now I am scared to put them outside in hutches i think it would be too much of a shock for them!

aslo found this.

Thanks

TBH I think those style of cages are much to small for a rabbit. I have an indoor bun and she has an NIC cage, which is amazing. :)

Both the cage and the dog crate are only just over 3ft so not very big. If you are talking about spending that sort of money you would be better going for one of these http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/rabbit_cage/42416 ;)

Yep, neither of those sound much bigger than what you have. You can get cages up to 140cm (4.5') otherwise just use a hutch or a play pen.

I agree, the ferplast 140 that I have from Zooplus is great and it's cheaper, and bigger than the tesco's one http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/rabbit_cage/42416

However, the dog crate is collapsible so if you don't always need it you can store it more easily :thumb:

I have a puppy pen for mine that will be used as their bed once they are all bonded, and it cost me about £70, heres the link
http://www.croftonline.co.uk/mcp/Showman_puppy_pens.html

I got teh individual panels so that I could adapt it to the area I wanted it to fit in. Good value for money and delivey time :D

Also like the idea of the NIC cubes and will prob have a serious think abotu them when I see them in B&Q !!

Thanks everyone :D the cage is only for short term use, when i need to bring bunnies indoors for whatever reason. The 4 that i have indoors in the big cage have been out of the cage ALL day :D while I have been outdoors cleaning hutches, you can imagine the mischief they have been getting up to!!! ( 2 of them have just been reserved :D )

kareen,

if you need the one i'm borrowing back i'll get chris to bring it down and we'll sort out something up here for lucky & flo. I have my zooplus run inside and they're using it all day long.

we actually saw a huge indoor cage in acorn the other day for £99 and chris's eyes lit up
