My Girl Selma

Lspacehopper

Wise Old Thumper
Took one of my hooded ratty girls (Selma) to the vets this afternoon. I found
a lump last night, a mammary tumour. The vet also found another couple.

She said it feels like it's spread to her lymph glands. Selma is about
22 months old and 9 months ago she had one tumour removed which she
actually did okay with.

The vet doesn't feel it would be beneficial to my girl for her to go
through an op as it would be massive and the fact it's possibly in her
lymph glands means it usually spreads quickly to the lungs causing
respiratory problems.

So...as much as it hurts me, I've decided to let her go on and give her
a 'normal' life until things start to take their toll.

Rats eh? Who'd ever have guessed that they could burrow their way into
your heart in the way that they do :(
