Bunny Basics Oat Hay

Rabbers

Mama Doe
Anyone know where it's gone? It's not on the website. I've just emailed them to ask if it's temporary.

My buns love it - its the ONLY hay they both eat out of choice. They actually try to eat it from the bag and as soon as i put it out in their basket they're all over it. This nevcer happens with any other hay. They don't like the Burns one. They do sort of like the Alfalfa King one, but not as much and I suppose the only other one is Oxbow which can work out pricey......

PLease please please say it's coming back......
:D  :D

Sorry no longer in stock and will not be getting it back as we have had major problems with that supplier.

Cant go into details as the DTI and Trading standards are investigating them.

as a side note don't be surprised if you see other companies products being recalled as its not only us that were buying OEM products from that at company.

Thanks for your reply! I'm very sorry to hear you've had trouble with the suppliers.

Out of interest is one of your Timothy hays nice and stalky like the oat hay (almost like the fragrant green straw the oat hay was like) ? As I could try something like that as a substitute.

Thanks again :)

try the first cut. or if you want to test the 2 timothy's just add comments to your next order and we can stick samples in for you to try.

BTW you have e-mail

That's very kind of you. I'll probably try the 1st cut as that seems to be what they like - the rougher stuff!

Thanks again and I've replied back to your email.

sorry but its out of our hands.

If the DTI and TS investigation shows what we know it will then a great deal of companies will loose products from that company.

We can name about 3 other companies that sell products from this company under different brands.

Bunnybasics - is there anything wrong with the hay? Or is it just the suppliers? I know you won't be able to go into details, just want to make sure the hay is ok as I have some for my two :)

All the products that we had in stock that was affected have all been removed and incinerated by a specialist disposal company. This happened months ago.

This is what we can tell you.

The hays are all ok as they were packaged by another company and just sold on by the company in question.

Further more to put your minds at rest it was us who contacted the DTI and they in turn contacted TS as we were concerned.

I cannot name the company or any of the other companies that supply products from this company but I can tell you how to tell if the products are affected.

The problem products are herbage items. To find out if products are affected place a "unopened" pack in a tupperware container and place in your airing cupboard for 5-7 days. When the time is up take the tub OUTSIDE and open it. If the pack is as it was when you put it in the tub you are ok, if there is a obvious change then take it back to the supplier and e-mail us.
