spurs?

They're growths on tooth - usually due to the teeth not aligning correctly (so they don't get to wear down properly)
They're usually quite sharp which can cut into the gum or tongue depending what side they're on, which makes the bun find it painful to eat
 
my mowgli has spurs but as of yet (touch wood) they are not causing him any discomfort, ive chosen to wait till they show signs he's uncomfortable to have his dental opp

These are the spurs that were removed from Fivers upper molars.....as you can see they are quite large and also sharp.

Yes they are abnormal tooth growth which needs to be removed.

Unless you had an octoscope and knew what you were looking for/at, you wouldn't realise your rabbit had them, they are not visible as they are hidden right in the back of the mouth.
