apple wood question

I read on here that it's ok to give branches from apple trees to buns for them to chew.I was just wondering if you have to do anything to the branches before you let them have them,apart from washing them of course - like drying them out or something?!

i think ur supposed 2 dry them out, but not 100% sure if thats all xxx

we have apple trees in the garden and chels is given the branches just pulled or cut from tree...she loves it first she munches the leaves then crunches the branches... so im really hoping its safe!!!(mind you she has had this since a yr old so thats nearly 9 years so im guessing its fine!)

you need to make sure they haven't been treated with pesticides too.
