Fur vs cold... to pull, or not to pull??

Am in a delima with Rex... His fur is loosening (as ALWAYS :roll: ), and Smurf continues to be his best bud/ hair stylist and lick him everywhere. However, it is getting really really cold!! I want to pull out the loose fur so that smurf doesn't eat it, but I don't want him to be freezing for the next who-knows-how-long! He does snuggle with smurf a lot, but i still don't want to take that chance.

What should I do? pull or no pull??

Maa's had the worst moult I've ever seen this week - she's lost tons of fur and still looks like a moth-eaten pincushion Better for them to be cold than blocked up with hair I figure. I'm giving her one a day bromelain tablets too, 40mg chewable from holland and barrett, to help the fur go through I hope.
