  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Kitt worrying me a bit...

Before Kitt was neutered he always possessed dominating tendendies - in particular towards Jamie, but now they're split up and Kitt is better from his ordeal I thought he'd improved...

Because he's a house bunny he has full reign of the house through the day, and my bedroom on a night (my bedroom is huge) he also has a cage which he goes in when I'm not in. I try to put him in the cage on a night, but he rattles it so hard that I can't get to sleep, so last night we thought we'd let him have free reign and leave his cage open... so...

Kitt decided to spend most of the night on the bed, asleep inbetween my legs on top of the duvet... he then (about 4:30ish) decides he wants fussing over so jumps down in to his cage, then jumps back on to my bed... on to my face and waking me up... so I gave him some attention before I drifted back off to sleep, and Kitt looked settled. I woke up a few mins later to find he'd wee'd on top of Hawys... but on the duvet.

Kitt has never wee'd on things before, he usually goes in his litter tray but it's become apparant from cleaning him out that he just goes anywhere now in his cage!!

What can I do?

xx
