leaving my bunnies

XMissySJx

Wise Old Thumper
have been looking at univiersities as i am in my last year of college, and i want to be a scriptwriter. When i got my bunnies i didnt want to do to university, now i do.

just spoke to my mum and she said she would look after them while i was gone and the only way she would 'rehome' them was if she lost the house or became seriously ill etc, so she would look after them, they would be well scared for of course, but she wouldnt spend the time with them i would

first year i will be in halls of residence, after that own place/flatshare, UNLIKELY i will be able to take them then but small chance, of being able ot take one of my two pairs back with my for my second year.

BUT am i being selfish?

A. leaving them
B. keeping them

i couldnt give them up i love them WAY too much, but will they know me when i come back?all are under/just over a year and my courses are 2 years, so its only until they are three, but will they become alll withdrawn and bity??

please help

 You are not being selfish at all! You are young and have your future to plan for. You can see them when you come home for holidays and maybe the odd weekend, then don't forget the long summer breaks. They won't forget you, I'm sure your mum will spoil them rotten as she will undoubtedly miss you too and enjoy having them to fuss :D

well they will always be clean, fed, watered and exercised and she will stroke them, but she cant socialise with them as she is just too busy and frankly...she doesnt really want to! she has a soft spot for them but there not her passion and i dont expect them to be.

I have slaved my guts out for this at college and my tutor has told me i have the 'balls' as he so kindly put it, to go into medi as a professional, and he believe i am the only one from our class who can and will. i cnt give that up but i feel like im abandoning them.

aww hun :( your mum has said shell give them the care they need, you can still visit... they are still young so rather than looking at it like your abondoning them see it like your making a future for you all... when uni is over and you have a fabulous job you can get your babies back and care for them the way they have become accustomed... orrrrrrrrrr give up your dream get a minimum wage job and then lose them cus you cant afford the proper care... and ill bet your ma will spend more time with them once your out the way..hehe

my mate got a bunny and when she moved out her mum begged her to let the bunny stay... really sweet :)

yup itll probably be torture for you but atleast you know they are safe with your mum.....wont be long hun... a small little chunk out of the rest of your lives together :)

im jus worried i they may 'leave me' whilst im gone, i know there young but sumthing cud happen at any time...id hate not to be here :(
