Hiya every1

Just realised that it must be more or less a year to the day that Harly started showing the bad symptoms of myxi. U wouldnt know it lookin at him munching on an apple for his dinner tonight (they got a treat since its a special day)

To think of what what we were going through this time last year...feels like another lifetime. Im so proud of my boys

Anyways I hope every1 else & their buns are all doing well, here's some new pics of my wee men -

(Harly has some residual scarring from the myxi but I think he's still a handsome guy  )

Hiya mum!

They look amazing now! I love Dutches! I was just thinking about you the other week and wondering how they were doing.

Well done, what a great job you did

Thanks :D those pics are actually about a month or so old now and u can see harly's got a bit of a sticky eye, this again is a residual prob from the myxi where he's more prone to eye infections (due to scar tissue in his tear ducts) but when it flairs up he gets steroid eye drops n its fixed in no time

Those pictures must give hope to people nursing their buns through it at the moment, they look great :D

I hope so - I wont say for 1 single second it was easy, and I was jst lucky that I was at uni & working and had the money to pay for it. I think I must have spent at least £500 all in on the treatment, and it took at least 3months before he was on the mend, but in my eyes he's worth every second and every penny :D

I just thought if any1 was in the same situation at the moment, seeing how far my boy has come may help. I must mention though that if he hadn't been vaccinated and if his suffering had got any worse than it did, or he stopped eating for more than 1 day, I wouldnt have forced him on as it would have been selfish. At times I thought I was being and really had to soul search whether to continue. Of course Im so glad now I didnt, I guess you just have to set yourself a limit of suffering that you will let them get to.

I guess Im just lucky too as I know of other people on the forum at exactly the same time in exactly the same situation who did everything I did and who lost their buns anyway

Hey Lucy - fantastic news that they're all better. they look gorgeous than ever.

Well done you for the way you nursed them through.

Hugs

Shiv
