Wise Old Thumper
Oh my god - Gilbert just nearly choked, it was SOOOO frightening. He'd been making a funny noise while eating his veg, but it was the same noise he does when drinking, so I didn't worry too much, then he appeared to be in distress and I realised he was choking!!!
I had no idea what to do, so i rubbed his back, and tapped him lightly, then tried to look in his mouth to see what was wrong, and I was just about to ring Jill (honeybunny) (cos weirdly that was the first thing that occured to me, rather than ringing my vet!!!) when he suddenly recovered. And carried on eating  typical Gilbert!!
I was so frightened!! What should I do when this happens, just in case it ever happens again?
