Blue Tongue - just want to check...

I know this is probably a very very very stupid question but does anyone know if this is harmful to rabbits (sorry if i am being thick). there has just been a confirmed case in Sevenoaks - which is next town to me. If it is dangerous - what should i be looking out for? As i say i am very very sorry if i am being stupid but i thought i would check rather than sitting here worrying about it!!

I'm sure it only affects hoofed animals, like cows, sheep, pigs.

"Bluetongue is a disease of animals affecting all ruminants, including sheep, cattle, deer, goats and camelids (camels, llamas, alpacas, guanaco and vicuña). It does not affect horses."

The Foot and Mouth page mentions that rats, hedgehogs and elephants are susceptible so I'd have thought that Bluetongue page would mention any other species if they were susceptible too

Blue Tongue doesn't affect rabbits....however the amount of mosquitos is quite worrying....as the ickle bugs pass on Blue Tongue and Myximatosis
