Just curious to know what your rabbit's favourite treat is?!

Merry and Pippin go mad for "alfalfa slims". They look like they're smoking cigars when they are eating them! They also love dandelions and sprouts.

Mint is fine.

Not sure if it is ok, but one of mine has eaten some of my mums mint plant in the past when I forgot to lift the pots onto the BBQ  I noticed after they had all played in the garden and have no idea which one it was but they were all fine :D x

Mine like yoghurt drops, but haven had any for a while. Bobby goes mental for pears, and Nibbles loves her savoy cabbage. I think she only likes that though, coz the leaves are bigger than her, and she stands on em n tears em up.
I know it's not a treat, but Biscuit goes absolutely bonkers if she can smell cheese.

mine love dried bread (just a tiny piece once in a while). Ozzie will find the bag i hide them in and pick it up and walk out the back door with it!

They also love a piece of dried papaya or pinapple, or a piece of fresh fruit like banana, apple, pear.

They also get dandilions and carrot tops or parsley as a treat and they love them!

I also give a couple of extra pellets as a treat - they wolf them down!

Minstrel will do absolutely anything for dried banana, as soon as you rustle the bag he's up on the settee running around on us both. Sean has a habit of teasing him tho so last night ended up with Minstrel stood on his chest with his paws on his head reaching up for a piece of banana Sean was holding just out of reach  Minstrel loves his food but dried banana sends him bonkers!!

Mine go crazy for their veg and their pellets, so I've never struggled to 'treat' them - they are just thrilled every meal time

Mine don't really get treats, as they are so vulnerable to stasis. They do love those alfalfa slims though, so sometimes I break one in half for them. Their absolute favourite treats are SS pellets, and Oxbow papaya tablets! Poor hard done by bunnies!

Mine loves mint, to the extent that he knows where it is kept and sits looking up at it.

22-10-2007, 12:17 PM
They both go mad enough for their SS, brome hay and veggies that I don't give them 'treats' anymore, just the odd grape, cherry tomato or fresh herbs if I have them.

Squishybunny
22-10-2007, 01:25 PM
Parsley, Basil, Carrots, Dandilions, Mint, Chives, Hazel twigs and Brocolli, ooooh and the very occasional pea. Pretty much anything that they don't get everyday is special.
