They are gorgeous! I love the black and tan one - not seen one like that before. Are they all one big bonded group?

Thanks:D .

Not sure which one you mean by "black and tan" ?

Yes they are all one big group of 6, and I'll be adding Dennis into the mix once hes deplummed. ;)

Did you find it hard to bond them hun? I am so amazed when I see people with groups of rabbits  I can hardly manage bonding my two

No, to be honest. It was ridiculously easy. Took 2 days in total. BUT and I think it is a big BUT they were all living in male/ female bonded pairs and all living in hutches within a shed and when housed in their runs they next to each other so I don't think it was such a shock to finally meet each other. All the scents had been mixed and they had meet each other through mesh. Me and Capel did everything by the book though, took them for a car ride in a big dog crate, then to neutral territory in a run at her house. I stayed overnight and everything was going great until about midnight. Dex and Jess flew into a scrap and locked on. I seperated them with water but Dex became increasingly agitated and started attacking ANY rabbit that came near him. So (me needing some sleep and thinking Dex needed some "time out" time) I bannished him to the naughty cornor  (the dog crate within the run) and didn't let him out until morning by which time everyone was calm again (and just for the record guess who are the best of friends now, yup Jess and Dex:roll:  ) That was the only fight we had. ;) Another car ride home, then into the run, then into the shed that evening. ;)

Also all my rabbits are very well socialised and calm temperaments. The only bossy one is Fraggle and no one argued when she volunteered herself "top dog". Its down to the individuals, so don't feel its your fault if your rabbits just won't get on. ;)

Its going to be an experience adding Dennis to the mix. :? :D

Wow! Im sure it will be fine introducing them :D

My two have had a lot of contact through mesh now and we have been swapping living areas for quite a while so hopefully it will be ok :D

Its just hard because I really think they will get on  They are just taking their time about it. There is snuggling and grooming inbetween fights. The fights arent even that bad but obviously I cant leave them unsupervised while they are still doing it, even if they are sleeping on top of each other 2 minutes later

So its pretty much just finding the time to keep them on neuteral territory, and now finding some more neutral territory that they can stay on for at least a week

Im just going to think positive because its pretty obvious they dont hate each other or anything  x

Sounds like you are doing everything correctly;) .

My giants were the same. They were so interested in each other but wouldn't go that extra mile. I think with my 2 it was down to Ruby wanting to be boss and Radar having none of it. It took me on and off 3 months to bond them. I really thought they were never going to get on but I didn't have the space for 2 giants to live seperately. Just like yours one minute it would postitve the next it would kick off and it went on like that for weeks. Guess who are my most loved up couple now though? They don't leave each others side !

Are your rabbits housed next door to each other at all times? I found this helped with my giants... ;)

   Yeah I can imagine they are close now after all that

My two arent housed next to each other all the time :( They spend the entire day in runs next to each other though. I have been swapping them over as well. One in the happyhutch and run and the other in the run with a shelter which is right next to the hutch and run. But whoever is in the smaller run that day comes into the house at night to sleep.

So today Beau has been in the smaller run with the shelter, and will sleep in the house tonight. Then tomorrow I will move Buu into the smaller run with the shelter and put Beau into the hutch and run. So tomorrow night Buu will sleep in the indoor setup. A bit confusing but they are getting used to each others scent and are able to communicate through the mesh all day :D
