Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Help to find new vet

Hi,

Was wondering if anybody knows of a good rabbit vet in Shropshire UK, or as I am also close to Staffordshire/Cheshire this would be fine also. To give a bit more detail, I am close to the towns of Shrewsbury and also Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe and Stafford, so any of these areas would be good for me.

I really need to get a 2nd opinion regarding one of my rabbits, as I believe she has received an injury to her mouth from a recent dental (burring session) she has had a most miserable time to say the least!

I would be willing to travel further if any others can be recommended

If anyone can help with this, I would be very grateful,

Thanks

Sue

Hi
I have found an exotics expert who is doing my bunnies teeth (without anaesthetic) today, he is based in Childer Thornton (by Vauxhalls, Ellesmere Port). Will PM details.

Hello

I'm originally from Shrewsbury!(only moved to Birm couple of yrs ago)

I took my buns to have their vaccinations and snips at Copthorne Veterinary Clinic in Shrewsbury(http://www.shrewsburyvets.com/) I took them to the Copthorne and Radbrook branches and both we're great-they really looked after the buns.

Hope this helps!

LIME TREES at Meir in Stoke on Trent. you would need to ask for Bart Hendrickx or Hywell Parry though- they are the small animal specialists.

help to find new vet

Thanks for all these suggestions,

I'm taking a good look at where they are all, the Newcastle-under-lyme and Shrewsbury ones are really handy for me, hopefully will be able to register with one soon and hopefully get my bunnies in with a vets I can trust.

Thanks all, much appreciated!

Sue
