Took the terrible trio for their myxi jabs today along with Gyp for his neuter and its gone down hill from there.

Marley has to go back for a repeat jab as after the intradermal dose the vet reinserted the needle for the remainder and as she depressed the plunger the needle broke off.....and we both got a faceful of myxi vacc. It was the last one in stock  so all three have to go back just to finish off Marleys.

Then I requested Fivers teeth be examined due to him having a dental in January and the poor little love has huge spurs growing into his tongue (I got to have a look, they are really odd looking things) but he has given no sgin at all of being in pain.

So he is going under GA for a burr seen as all three of them were there already.

Grand total for the day 160

I wanna go back to bed :(

Hope all goes well for Fiver's Dental

Shame he had already had his Myxo vac before his teeth were checked.
I wonder if he should have a 'top up' intradermal dose in a week's time :?

They had to put a gerbil down whilst I was waiting this morning so it was a s*** start to the day for them :( I dont think they will want to lose anymore patients today..

Ive completely forgotton to worry about Gyp to and feel right guilty now

That must of been sad I hate it when that happens, when Iwas in teh vets before a family brought a dead dog in and were so upset, I wanted to cry with them.

Awwww all will be fine, I feel it in my water

Sooz

Well your water is right...

Fiver has had loads of work done on his teeth....they were too long as well as spurred :( but he has started eating again already  so obviously feeling happier (though he never went of his food anyway).

Gyp started eating before he even came round properly....he was laid out with his head resting on the food bowl eating the pellets and has now eaten two whole bowls full!!

That meant there was no food for Scout or Marley so they have eaten the vets out of Timothy hay

Sooz

Im gonna use them as an educational shock tool and wave them in peoples faces and say 'this is what you get if you feed mixes and no hay and rubbish treats!' and not mention the fact Fivers is probably hereditary

Will post a pic of them.

Awww cant you pick her up yet Tree :( thats why we do surgery on a Tuesday...my day off :D

SOAD
16-10-2007, 05:15 PM
That's a good plan, although if I did it on my days off, I'd just be in a right state by the end of the day, at least I can keep busy. Only 15 mins to go though  . Give yours a cuddle from me :D

I will give him some nose rubs....he's not a cuddle bun

They are tucking into a big bowl of hay, Im gonna cut down their pellets again I think as they are all good hay eaters.

Has Zippy started eating again?

SOAD
16-10-2007, 05:22 PM
   nose rub then, don't want you to get damaged, with the new knashers

I don't know yet they've not told me. I dropped her off withher tea, but probably not, she doesn't normally, she has a dental every 6-8 weeks, she coming up to her third year of dentals  , she's normally spaced out a bit afterwards, she's quite old and the GA knocks her about a bit :( , although saying that she'll manage a bit. I hope they managed to get the all this time and she can stop having them, fingers crossed.

Sooz

Awww bless her. I have been very lucky with Fiver, he is 2.5 years and this is his second dental....but problems only started in January, not sure why, and altering his diet helped no end.

Give Zippy her preferred method of petting from me when you get her :D
