  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Sorry to post so soon after my other, but i just remembered another question i have.

My Charlie, when i carry him, i can't see his ding dong, I mean i know they hide it to a certain extent but, I'm wondering if he might turn out to be a she?

Either he's a she or a late developer. His testicles will be pretty obvious when they drop, his penis will be hidden inside.

Most smaller breeds drop by 16 weeks.

I had a boy who was 12 months and had retracted his tescticals....they only appeared a couple of weeks ago.

There is usually a bare patch or an area of wrinkled skin either side of the genitalia in males, where the testicals would be.

However by 5 months exerting gentle pressure on the genital area would cause a blatantly obvious penis to protrude if he is a boy.

I didn't try that, because i couldn't find where to put the pressure, but, Instead, i came across something else! I felt "His" tummy and "he" has nipples! Does this mean he's a girl?
