Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Milly has a runny nose!!!

Hi
Just saw Milly and she has a runny nose. It's like dripping. She's fine her self, bouncing around and bounding into Molly. Is it a bad sign of something on the way? It's where the two nostrils meet and it sort of goes down the line. And then drips off the end. it may be the water bottle but is looks like it's coming out of her nose. This could have only started less than an hour ago as I was with them and there was no sign of this.

Is the wetness just like clear water?
Is Milly sneezing?
Is the fur on the inside of her front paws 'sticky' or wet ?

Just keep an eye on her. She may just have got water up her nose from drinking or she may have a slight allergy
If the discharge gets thick/white coloured or if Milly sneezes a lot I would ask your Vet to check her

she's ok. she's happy and washing herself. Bouncing around and chewing on her hay rack. The nose water is still clear. She has a bit of pellet powder stuck on her nose, which shows it's still wet/damp.

Bailey used to get a little wet bit on his nose sometimes when he drank from his water bottle too. Now he and Luuna have a bowl, sometimes it looks like they have dunked their whole head in there
