I saw a woodpecker in the garden today, and took some pics, because o/h never believes that I see them in our garden. Whilst I had the camera out, I also took a couple of my little mate, who is still asleep in his cage, like in the last pic.

I think they're quite widespread, but we don't have any woods near us. :lol: RSPB says they have amber status.

He's a Green Woodpecker and therefore eats ants.
