As I have mentioned here

Maggie has quite advanced arthritis in her hips/knees and Lumbar Spine
All my previous arthritic Buns have only really displayed signs of generalised stiffness and loss of muscle tone due to them being less mobile.
But with Maggie she is showing real distress tearing at her hips and biting her tail
Our Vet has prescribed Metacam, Physio + Massage and Glucosomine + Chondroitin. Maggie also has Ranitidine to try to prevent the Metacam causing a Gastric Ulcer. When her pain is very bad she also has an opiate pain killer.
I have never seen an Arthritic Bun show such obvious signs of pain and am looking for advice from anyone who has.
Did the affected Bun have good days aswell as bad ?
Where any other treatments helpful?
It is so upsetting to see Maggie biting at herself Only the opiates seem to give her sufficient pain relief. Metacam alone does not.
Any input from people who may have seen similar symptoms in a Bun would be much appreciated. Maggie is still eating but is obviously not a happy Bunny and I fear I may have to let her go in the next few days
