Fostering?

Hi,
I am very interested inf ostering when I have my shed done up properly ( and if any rescues want me to foster :? ) anyway,
I have a few questions to ask:

What size housing do they usually want?
Do they still do homechecks?
Do you keep them until they find a home or until there is space at the rescue?

I think rescues prefer adults as fosterers. And you have enough animals of your own and school to deal with. You shouldn't overload yourself with work at your young age.
