Decision Help !!!!

Smudge101

New Kit
Im wondering about having my buck (6mths) neutered until yesterday a friend told me the risk or him dying under anesthetic is high. Which made totally change my mind but her bunny has been neutered everthig went well.

Im not sure anymore as i dont want to lose him :(

Help!

The risk is not high at all.
Their is a risk but they is with humans and other animals too.
I was petrified of having My bunny Angel spayed.
I went and had a long chat with the vet and felt happy.
All went well and now i can look forward to getting her a boyfriend:D

The risk is very minimal. I have lost one rabbit out of around 45 under aneasthetic because she had an undetected heart murmur which only an ECG scan would have picked up.

Your vets can give you a health check and run blood tests before to see if he is at any abnormal risk from the aneasthetic.

You may also want to search for an experienced rabbit vet and ask how many speys/castrations they do on rabbits per year/month etc and what their mortality rate is like.

Im sure they will reassure you.
