Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Nail Cutting

Hello
Can anyone tell me where the best place to get nail clippers from. My bun really needs them doing as she is house rabbit and they are not wearing down. Do I get a type of scissor or a clipper where the nail is slid into a slot & then chopped? If that makes sense?
Many thanks

Most petshops sell them.

Im sure someone told me not to use the spring loaded ones as they exert to much pressure on the claw and tend to crush it rather than cut it.

I think my ones are made by Mikki.

I got mine clipped today and i bought some of the clippers the lady who does em uses... they are cat clippers. they look abit like nail scissors only they have a rounded part where the cut the claw x

ive got the mikki scissor ones i like guilotine ones think thier dangerous for small animals one wrong move and you can take thier claw off
